Released in March of 1995 under the band’s independent record label, Beacon Street Records, The Beacon Street Collection is No Doubt’s second studio album. The album’s style integrates ska, funk and reggae, very characteristic of No Doubt’s traditional sound. However, The Beacon Street Collection did not achieve much success due to the mainstream’s on-going infatuation with grunge music. The album sold 100,000 copies in 1995, a huge jump from their previous album, and produced the singles “Squeal” and “Doghouse”.
